Abstract

PURPOSE: To simplify a discrimination between the kinds of input signals by a simple circuit constitution by detecting whether an input frequency is high or low, by detecting a phase difference between an input signal frequency and reference comparison frequency.
CONSTITUTION: A signal of frequency f1 is applied to signal input terminal 8, and a reference frequency signal of fr1 to terminal 13 to obtain alternating signal A at output part 17 of phase discrimination circuit 9. Output signal A is integrated by LPF1 and converted into a DC level to output a "H"-level signal to terminal 15. On the other hand, frequency signal f1 and reference frequency fr2 from terminal 14 are inputted to phase discrimination circuit 10 to output alternating signal F to output part 18. This output signal F is integrated by LPF12 and a "H"-level signal is outputted to terminal 16. Namely, when f1>fr1>fr2, terminals 15 and 16 are held at level "H" and when fr1>f2>fr2, terminals 15 and 16 are at "L" and "H"; and when fr1>fr2>f3, terminals 15 and 16 are both at "L".
