Abstract
PURPOSE: To surely recover excess sludge and scum when the sludge concentration in a purification vessel exceeds a prescribed level and to dispose of the sludge into a fertilizer or the like and return processed water into the purification vessel to recycle the water, by automatically measuring the sludge concentration in the vessel.
CONSTITUTION: The sludge concentration in a purification vessel 1 is automatically measured by a measuring means 11. Excess sludge and scum are sucked in by a pump 12 through a suction hose 13 and then purified by aeration or the like in a tank 15 so that the solid and liquid are divided from each other. After an appropriate time, the solid and liquid are separated from each other by dehydration. The separated residues are dried and removed. The purified water is returned into the purification vessel 1 to recycle the water.
