Abstract

PURPOSE:To form the film of superior corrosion resistance, film adhesiveness and lubricity of plastic deformation by electrolytically treating a steel plate with the aqueous alkaline solution containing the specific metal ions and their complexing agents then applying chemical conversion treatment. CONSTITUTION:A steel plate is electrolytically treated in the aqueous alkaline solution containing alkali hydroxide such as NaOH and alkali phosphate at about 0.01-3mol/l in alkali metal equivalent, compounds supplying metal ions of one or more kinds of Al, Ti, Cr, Mn, Co, Ni, Cu, Zn, Zr, Mo, Sn at about 0.001- 0.6mol/l in metal ion equivalent and the specified amount of complexing agents for these metals, whereby the film of metals or metal compounds is formed to a thickness of 5-500mg/m<2> as metal ions. Thence, it is rinsed and is subjected to forming treatment by using acidic phosphate treating solution, aqueous chromic acid solution, reactive organic macromolecular resin or oils and fats.
