Abstract
PURPOSE:To raise reliability of cell by providing a current collector whose net-work structure base is coated with an antioxidant metal and then with silver on the cathode-faced surface of silver dioxide anode. CONSTITUTION:The silver dioxide-based anode 6 is housed in the cell case 1 through the bottom insulating plate 7, and then on the anode 6, the cathode 3 packed in the sealing plate 2 is provided through the current collector 8 whose periphery is touched with the inner wall of the case 1, the separator 5, and the liquid-impregnated material 4. Then, between the case 1 and the sealing plate 2, the sealing packing 9 is provided and sealed to form a thin button-type cell. The current collector 8 of the cell uses a net-work structured base of a synthetic resin, a carbon fiber, etc., which is first coated with an alkali-resistant and antioxidant metal, e.g., gold, nickel, silver, etc., and then with silver by a vacuum deposition, a chemical plating, etc.
