Abstract
PURPOSE: To automatically stop operation in a region where the engagement of two pinions causes an interference during a reverse-directional operation so that any possible damage on the gear may be prevented when an arched gear is operated in a normal or a reverse direction with the assitance of the pinions.
CONSTITUTION: During its normal-directional rotation, if an arched gear 11 were stopped in a halfway position and reversing switch S2 turned on, the said gear won't rotate because of non-excitation of electromagnetic contactor coil MR1 for reverse rotation due to the disconnection of either of detector switches KS1WKS4. However, if electromagnetic contactor coil FR1 for reverse rotation, is excited by means of reversing switch S2 in a position where pinions 12, 13 are completely engaged with each other and the contact points of all the detector switches KS1W KS4 are closed, electric motor 14 is in a state of reverse rotation. This results in the opening of the contact point of detector switch KS4, freeing electromagnetic contactor coil MR1 for reverse rotation from excitation with the subsequent stopping of the arched gear 11.
