Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide an elevator driving system for use at the time of interruption of power supply, in which a driving gear that is engaged with a DC motor at the time of power interruption is provided at the rotating section of hoist to drive the hoist directly by the DC motor, whereby reliable operation of elevator at the time of power interruption can be ensured by eliminating the influence of the turning force transmitting system.
CONSTITUTION: Driving gear LG that is driven at the time of power interruption is provided on brake drum BD, and DC motor DCM is disposed at the position where pinion P is in mesh with gear LG when it is projected from its normal position. If power supply from normal power source NV is interrupted during operation of elevator, magnet brake B is de-energized and exerts a braking force, so that elevator is stopped rapidly. At the same time, no-voltage detecting relay NS is de-energized and power interruption is detected thereby. On the other hand, power source is switched to emergency power source EV by control unit CP, and brake B is released by the emergency power source EV. At the same time, DC motor DCM is set into operation and pinion P is projected into engagement with gear LG, whereby drum BD is rotated and hoisting drum WD is rotated.
