Abstract
PURPOSE: To prepare fluorine-containing high molecular compound by electrolytic fluorination of a specific high molecular compound by using anhydrous hydrogen fluoride as an electrolysis bath.
CONSTITUTION: In an electrolysis tank with cathode and anode of Ni, Fe or the like, anhydrous hydrogen fluoride containing amines, ammonia or the like to enhance electric conductivity in a concentration of 0.1W10wt% is supplied as an electrolysis bath and linear or branched high molecular compound with M.W. of above 500 having one or more groups or atoms selected from sulfonic acid group, a functional group convertible to sulfonic acid group and N atom is added. Then the said high molecular compound is subjected to electrolytic fluorination at -20W+30°C while electric current is applied at a current density of 0.01W5A/dm3.
