Abstract
PURPOSE: To eliminate back pressure of cold water, which is normally high in pressure, exerted on hot water, by forming the inner concave wall of a movable plate, which is slide-fitted to a fixed plate, arched toward an outlet and almost symmetrical with regard to a symmetrical shaft of the movable plate.
CONSTITUTION: A crtridge case 10 is fixed in a working chamber 1 to which a caver 9 is screwed in, and a stationary disc 23 made of ceramic plate is fixed in the case 10. A movable plate 26 is put on the stationary disc 23, its handle-like projection 27 being positioned in a valve guide 22. A fitting port 28 on the rear side of the movable plate 26 is engaged with the tip of a control lever 33 through a cylinder 30 of slider 29 and the lever 33 is connected with a lever handle 44. The movable plate 26 has a concave passage 50 for communicating a hot water inlet 47 and cold water inlet 48 made on the stationary disc 23 with a mixed water outlet 49, the inner wall 52 of the concave being arched toward the outlet 49 and symmetrical on both sides.
