Abstract
PURPOSE: To shut an opening/closing valve automatically and thereby prevent outflow of excessive hot water by taking off the hand in operation after the hot water mixed to the desired temperature is discharged in requisite amount.
CONSTITUTION: When a push handle 35 is pushed the port of an opening/closing valve in a discharge device B will open a relief valve d through forward shift or spindle 33 and pushing of the stem 32 of relief valve 30 to exhaust the fluid in the pressure chamber 28 to the secondary side and then the spindle 33 pushes the piston valve's element 26 to open another opening/closing valve b and thus to allow the hot water heated by the body A of hot/cold water mixing tap to an appropriate temperature to flow from the primary 23 to secondary side. When the pushing force is removed from the abovementioned handle 35 the spindle 33 is pushed back by a spring 33 is pushed back by a spring 36, and the relief valve body 30 is reinstated to the valve closing position by a spring 31 and the relief valve d is shut. Thereby the volume of pressure chamber 28 is gradually increased by the fluid flowing into the pressure chamber 28 through a gap between the piston valve element 26 and guide 25, and consequently the valve element 26 shifts gradually in the valve opening direction to shut the opening/closing valve and stop discharge of hot water.
