Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable to obtain always a most appropriate ignition timlng in spite of a difference of an altitude in a district where a car is running by providing a diaphragm device, connected to a movable base through a control spring, and a mechanism to change the area of a hole, provided on the base and communicating with open air, in accordance with a change of the altitude. CONSTITUTION:A vacuum ignition angle advancing mechanism 1 is connected to a distributor housing 11 and an air-tight chamber 4 thereof is connected to a VC hole 24 of a carburetter 21. A diaphragm 6 is formed so as to be integral with a stopper 27A and a joint 8 connected to a movable base 2. A controller 12 is connected to the housing 11 and is provided at a side of an air-tight chamber 16 with a leakage pipe 15 and a vacuum take-out port 20. A needle valve 19, attached to a vacuum bellows 18, is fitted within the pipe 15 while the vacuum take-out port 20 is connected to a manifold vacuum take-out port 25 for the carburetter 21. A stopper 27B and a joint 14 are fixed to a diaphragm 13 and a control spring 7 is attached between the joint 14 and the movable base 2.
