Abstract

PURPOSE: To minimize pulsation of intake air caused by the opening and closing of an electromagnetic valve and also to prevent excessive bleeding of air when air flow rate is high, by providing a regulator at an intermediate portion between an actuator and an air-bleed port in the main passage of carburetor.
CONSTITUTION: In an air-fuel ratio controlling apparatus of this invention, output signal of exhaust-gas sensor 103 is afforded to control circuit section 400 for comparing the signal with a reference signal and a control signal based on the deviation between these two signals is afforded to electromagnetic valve 300 serving as actuator. By controlling the amount of bleed air passed through air-bleed passage 206, amount of fuel ejected from nozzle 201 is controlled to attain an aimed air-fuel ratio. Here, outlet 305 of electromagnetic valve 300 is connected via pipe (c) to one chamber 602 of regulator 600 whereas the other chamber 603 is connected via pipe (a) to the inlet of carburetor. Further, opening area of pipe (b) connected to passage 206 is controlled by valve 604.
