Abstract

PURPOSE: To perform silencing and foreign matter removing operations concurrently for a noisy gas stream exhauster by minimizing the loss of pressure by changing the direct movement of air stream to swirl movement.
CONSTITUTION: In the silencing and water droplets removing device 10, consisting of the two cylinders 12 of a closely contact form or a double cylindrical form, air stream from a wind channel is flowed into the air inlet 16 in the tangential direction to the two cylinders so as to cause a swirl movement and then exhausted through the outlet 18 to the outside, wherein water droplets in air stream are removed by centrifugal force resulting in the swirl movement and then discharged from the discharge port. Also, sounds are absorbed by the sound absorbing panel 22 constituting the cylinders and thereby the sounds emitted from the air outlet 18 are lowered. The cylinders have not only the sound absorbing effect but also a sound insulating effect.
