Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent an AC rotary machine from abruptly accelerating or braking accelerating the machine until it coincides with the frequency of a second power supply by a first variable frequency power supply and starting the adjustment of the frequency and phase angle of the first power supply when both the phases become concident.
CONSTITUTION: An AC rotary machine M is accelerated via an oblique signal generator 2 and a voltage controlled oscillator 3 by a variable voltage variable frequency inverter 1. A phase difference detecting circuit 5 applies a signal proportional to the phase difference of the output voltages of the inverter 1 and a commercial frequency power supply 6 to an amplifier 4 in an automatic synchronization control circuit, and holds an internal memory at the instantaneout moment that the machine is completely accelerated by the holding circuit 7 so that the output of the circuit 5 becomes zero to thereby hold a relay K1 for the ampifier 4. Since the phase difference is zero at the moment that the circuit 5 is alive to produce no kick voltage due to the above reason, it can smoothen the frequency in variation when applying to the commercial power supply.
