Abstract
PURPOSE:To facilitate the starting of a large-scale incinerator that a diameter of its turning fluid-layer portion exceeds 1000mm, by mounting not less than one turning arms in close vicinity to a porous plate of a base of a fluid layer, and by starting said incinerator by turning a fluid medium by means of the turning arms. CONSTITUTION:A porous plate 2 is installed to a base of an incinerator body 1, and a fluid medium, such as, sand, etc. is housed on it while air is fed to an air chamber 3 under the porous plate 2 from a duct 4, thus forming a fluid layer 5. The first, second and third threefold cylindrical portions 141-143 are mounted to the center of the porous plate 2, and turning arms 15a, 15b are disposed to an upper end of the first cylinder 141 functioning as a passage of air for turning jets and lengthened in the radial direction. The first cylinder 141 is held by means of the second cylinder 142 and supported by means of a bearing 20 in a revolution-possible shape while its lower end is mounted to a reduction gear 16 driven by means of a speed change driving gear 17. The fluid medium is provided with turning force by means of the turning arms 15a, 15b, and the formation of a turning jet layer is facilitated.
