Abstract
PURPOSE: To eliminate the effect of external light by providing a beam splitter which constitutes a photo detecting system between a light beam generator and a light deflector.
CONSTITUTION: A beam splitter 9 which constitutes a photo detecting system 13 together with an imaging lens 10, aperture 11 and photoelectric transducer 12 is disposed between the imaging lens 5 constituting a scanning system 8 together with a light beam generator 1 and collimator lens 2 and a light deflector 6. With this arrangement, the light beam generated from the light beam generator 1 undergoes changing of light beam diameter and paralleling in the collimator lens 2, hence it is radiated via the imaging lens 5, beam splitter 9 and light deflector 6 onto an information recording surface 7, the reflected light whereof enters the photoelectric transducer 12 by way of the light deflector 6, beam splitter 9, imaging lens 10 and aperture 11. Hence, the photo detecting range positions always on the flying point of the light beam and becomes approximately of the same diameter as the light beam diameter, thus no longer receiving the effect of external light and permitting reading of high accuracy without the need for covering the entire part of the device with a dark box.
