Abstract

PURPOSE: To detect the operation and release of a solenoid valve by detecting the variation of a drive current due to the change of the inductance of a drive coil at its operating time.
CONSTITUTION: Since a solenoid relay 4 is operated to cause the inductance of a drive coil to increase when the output of a drive power supply 1 is gradually increased, the current of the drive coil is varied. The change of the current is detected by a detector 5, and the output of the detector 5 is applied to a comparator 6. When a power supply 1 is gradually decreased similarly, the relay 4 is released. The change of the drive current is detected by the detector 5 at this time, and the output of the detector 5 is applied to the comparator 6. Thus, the output of the comparator 6 is monitored to thereby readily detect the operation and release of the relay 4. Accordingly, the voltage and current of the relay 4 at the operating and releasing time can be measured by a voltmeter 2 and an ammeter 3, respectively.
