Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce distortion of an output signal by connecting the emitter of a muting transistor Tr, connected between the output terminal of a signal output circuit and the ground point, to the output terminal and its collector to the ground point. CONSTITUTION:Between output terminal 7 of signal amplifying Tr1 and ground point E, muting Tr4 is provided and its emitter is connected to terminal 7 while its collector is also connected to ground point E. Since when the connection of the circuit like this is IC-implemented, no parasitic diode resides at the emitter of Tr4, no signal clipping is done, causing no distortion. When the emitter area of Tr4 is made to approximate to its collector area as much as possible in case of the IC- implementation of this muting circuit, the current amplification factor can greatly be improved even at a collector-grounded point and potentials at terminal 7 and ground point approximate nearly to an equal value, so that a shock tone based upon a difference in potential between muting operation and non-muting operation can be suppressed.
