Abstract
PURPOSE: An inorganic coating containing alkali metal silicate and acidic metal phosphate is combined with a specific metal oxide to prepare a coating material, which is coated on an uneven surface to form the surface with catalytic activity.
CONSTITUTION: To (A) an inorganic coating containing (a) an alkali metal silicate or (b) an acidic metal phosphate, are added (B) (c) an oxide of metal of group IA or IIA and/or (d) a compound which contains the oxide of component c and is given as the formula (MA is an element of group IA, II A; MB is an element of IIIB or IVB; 0 is oxygen; x, y, z are integral numbers) to give said coating material. The resulting material is coated on the uneven surface of steel sheets or so.
EFFECT: The coated surface has the catalytic activity of inhibiting the formation of tarry carbon substance.
