Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent slopping and perform slag-making control so as to obtain optimum slag-off condition by integrating the impulsive acceleration acting upon an acceleration detector based on only the motion of the slag produced through its in- furnace reaction. CONSTITUTION:The accelerometer 7 installed in the upper part of an oxygen-blowing lance 2 being the acceleration detector loaded into a converter 1, e.g., a crystal vibrator, detects the acceleration change acting upon the lance 2. The waveforms after erasing of the acceleration changes of a low frequency range by passing the acceleration change through a filter 8 are amplified in an amplifier 9 and are integrated by an integrating processor 10. The levels of the integrated values are divided to a number of steps by a slag-making measurement and slopping forecast display device 11 and depending upon their heights the slag-off condition is judged. The judgement thereof is used for controlling of blowing and the change rate of the integrated value for forecasting slopping, respectively.
