Abstract
PURPOSE: To remove silicic acid at a high ratio of removal by contacting water contg. silicic acid with a cpd. of alkaline earth metals in the presence of hydrolytic metallic ions.
CONSTITUTION: Water contg. silicic acid is contacted with grain material including hydroxide, oxide, carbonate cpd. of alkaline earth metals such as magnesium hydroxide, magnesia, magnesium carbonate, slaked lime, lime stone, dolomite in the presence of hydrolytic ions such as Al ion, Mg ion, Fe ion, Ni ion.
