Abstract
PURPOSE: To adsorption-remove metal dissolved in an alkaline soln. by contacting the metal to MgO or Mg(OH)2.
CONSTITUTION: Metal such as Zn, Cr, Al, Pd, Fe Be or Cu dissolved in an alkaline soln. of pH≥9, usually pH≥11 is contacted to MgO or Mg(OH)2 to adsorption-remove the dissolved metal. MgO is esp. used which is obtd. by calcining Mg(OH)2 at 350W900, pref. 400W700°C so that the water content is regulated to 3W20, pref. 5W15%.
