Abstract
PURPOSE: To form a sealant superior in acid resistance and especially suitable for alumina ceramics sealing, by incorporating zirconium silicate in a specified amount with a nondevitrifying low melting point glass.
CONSTITUTION: Zirconium silicate is incorporated with the powder of PbO-B2O3 type low melting point glass having a transition point below 320°C and a yielding point below 330°C in a volum ratio of 50:50 to 40:60, resulting in remarkably enhancing acid resistance. Furthermore, it has low dielectric constant and is capable of sealing at about 450°C, therefore it is especially suitable for sealing alumina ceramics.
