Abstract

PURPOSE: To readily obtain a high performance glass bind core for transformers and the like by winding an insulative fiber with high tensile strength such as glass yarn and the like impregnated with a liquiefied solventless room temperature setting synthetic resin of low viscosity while giving a predetermined tension to a laminated core.
CONSTITUTION: A bind core consists of a central core 1 obtained by stacking a plurality of silicon steel plate laminations each having appropriate thickness, a plurality of round glass-reinforced epoxy resin molded bars 3 disposed on the steps 2 of the core 1, an underlay 5 which is in the form of a PG tape made of polyester or epoxy and the like and wound two times thereabout and an insulative glass yarn 4 having high tensile strength which is impregnated with a liquified solventless room temperature setting synthetic resin of low viscosity and wound thereabout with an appropriate tension. These processes provide the finished goods with excellent characteristics such as high tensile strength, low temperature dependability and high residual stress.
