Abstract
PURPOSE:To enable selective setting of the number of natural oscillation in load applied condition by providing the intermediate section in the coil axis direction with a small pitch section where adjacent spring wire comes into close contact with each other at the entire load sphere and then by providing both sides of the small pitch section with the large pitch section which expands and contracts depending on the load. CONSTITUTION:The coil spring 1 is made by winding spring wire 2 in a coil and consists of the small pitch section 3 installed in the intermediate section in the coil axis direction, the large pitch sections 4 and 5 installed on both sides of the small pitch section and the bottom coil section 6 installed at one end of the coil. The small pitch section 3 is wound so that adjacent spring wires 2a may be brought into contact with each other while put into actual use in the entire sphere ranging from the minimum to maximum value of compressive load applied to the axis direction. The large pitch sections 4 and 5 are wound so that they freely expand and contract depending on the above compressive pressure. In the mutually connected section between the small pitch section 3 and the large pitch sections 4 and 5, pitch is so set as to increase or decrease continuously in the sections shown as P and P.
