Abstract
PURPOSE: To perform real-time coordinate conversion of an input picture with control over horizontal and vertical effects by quantizing a video signal on a raster scan system in a lattice shape and then by attaining access to memories corresponding to respective picture elements by address generating part for horizonal and vertical effects.
CONSTITUTION: An input videio signal is digitized 4 and then inputted to memory 5 5. When a picture is quantized in a lattice shape of m by n, counters for longitudinal and lateral m and n division generates 7 addresses in sequence and a picture element, equivalent to the composite output of horizontal effect address generating part 8 and vertical effect address generating part 9, is read out from memory 5 by address switching by multiplexer 6, and then decoded 12 and outputted as an output video. On arrival of an effect control external signal from terminal 14, computer 10 carries out the arithmetic of parameters of coordinate conversion and exercises control over an arithmetic circuit on a scan time unit according to commands. Further, a synchronizing signal is supplied from terminl 2 to generate 13 timing pulses and signals are supplied to needed parts. This constitution can obtain desired output picture effects.
