Abstract

PURPOSE:To completely remove the air and to reduce the loss of heat transmission in a lot water circulation circuit, by arranging such that the passage of a liquid heat medium in the circuit is switched by a switching valve device between a first path through which the medium is circulated through an opened expansion tank and a second path which bypasses the opened expansion tank. CONSTITUTION:For starting up the circuit, a liquid heat medium 9 is charged to fill the heat collecting circulation circuit through an opened expansion tank 11. Then, a pump 4 is started after closing and opening a first and a second switching valves or change-over valves 18 and 19, respectively, so that the liquid heat medium 9 still containing bubbles is circulated at a small flow rate. The liquid heat medium 9 transferred together with the bubbles to a branching point 14 then flows through a first communication pipe 12 and gets into the opened expansion tank 11 via a first passage port 16. Since the tank 11 is filled with water, and since the flowing velocity of the liquid heat medium 9 is lowered drastically, the bubbles ascends to the liquid surface due to their buoyancy and is relieved to the atmosphere. Thereafter, the normal heat collecting operation is started after opening and closing the first and second switching valves 18 and 19, respectively.
