Abstract

PURPOSE: To effect moisture proofing and longer life of the detector by accomodating it in the sealed container and providing a valve connected to the sealed container when detecting the specified gas concentration within the reactor container.
CONSTITUTION: For the measurement of H2, Cl2 and others within a reactor container 1, a front end detecting portion 6A of a H2 concentration detector 6, for example, is inserted into a sealed container 30 and a valve 32 is controlled remotely by transmitted signal 33 from a switch 17 via a wire 14 passing through the wall of the container 1. A tube 31 has one end opened to the interior of the container 1 and the other end connected to the container 30. A rack 18 accomodates a N2 cylinder 20 from which N2 gas is fed into the container 30 to cut off the moisture within the container 1 in maintenance mode, a H2 cylinder 19 from which reference concentration H2 is obtained to calibrate the indication of an indicator 16 in calibration mode, valves 24, 25, 27, 28 required for the above operations, a pressure gauge 26 and pressure reducers 21, 25. In measurement mode, a separation valve 12 is closed by signal 15 from the switch 17, the detecting separation valve 32 connected to the container 30 is opened, gas within the container 1 is sampled to the front end detecting portion 6A through the container 30, and then H2 concentration is measured with the indicator 16 by signal 13 from the detector 6.
