CONSTITUTION:The illuminance at a plurality of sampling points over bright and dark part toward the direction crossing with the cut-off line at the boundary of bright and dark part of luminous intensity distribution pattern is detected with the illuminance detector group 1. This output is inputted to the operation unit 6 via the differential amplifier 3, peak hold circuit 4, and A-D converter 5. The operation unit 6 calculates the gradient of illuminance and compares the reference illuminance gradient set at the reference value setter 7 with the gradient of illuminance, outputs the discrimination signal representing whether the luminous intensity distribution of the inspected lighting fixture L is of specified value or not, and displays this discrimination signal on the display unit 8.
