Abstract
PURPOSE: To ensure the detection not subjected to temperature and voltage variation, by obtaining the pulse output in duty 1/2, through the first and second detector so that the phase difference between the output signals cannot be 2nπ to the index of detected member.
CONSTITUTION: The slit 6 is regularly formed on the detected plate 5 fixed on the base stand and the light emitting elements 7, 8 and photo detectors 9, 10 are provided in shifted their positions by clipping the slits 6, to constitute the first and second detectors with the elemetns 7, 8, 9, 10. The photo transistors 9a and 10a at the photo detection section have the same characteristics and, via the identical resistors 11, 12, the emitter is grounded respectively, and sinusoidal wave signal is outputted with the shift of mobile body, but alignment is made with the second detector by its position shift so that the phase difference can be caused not at 2nπ (where; n=0, ±1, ±2...). The both signals are inputted to the differential amplifier 13 for comparison to obtain the pulse in duty 1/2 resulting in obtaining the shift detection signal for the slit 6.
