Abstract

PURPOSE: To recommence supply of electric power promptly when accidental trouble is removed, by providing a control system which controls operation of power plant suitably when the power plant is disconnected suddenly from the power system.
CONSTITUTION: In a composite gasification power plant, comprising gas generators 1, 45W47, steam generating means, gas turbines 10, 34W36, turbine 12, etc. in combination for converting energy produced from the gas generators into electric power, accidental trouble caused outside of the power plant is detected by means 51 for detecting troubles casued with the power system. From the means 51, instruction is given to plant operation instructing means 52 and steam turbine tripping means 54, and on the basis of this instruction, number of gas turbines to be operated is determined by the instructing means 52 and operation of steam turbine 12 is stopped. On the other hand, load reduction instructing means 53 is operated to attain uniform generation of energy from the gas generators, and if it takes long in repairing of the trouble outside of the system, operation of the plant is stopped by stop instructing means 55.
