Abstract

PURPOSE: To linearize bridge output even when pressure input extends over positive and negative value, by adjusting bridge drive voltage in response to the absolute value of the output of a bridge circuit formed by means of this pressure transducer utilizing piezo-resistance effect.
CONSTITUTION: When positive pressure is applied, gauge resistance Rp decreases and Rn increases and the output potential of an amplifier 2 augments, and the change of the potential raises the output VB of a voltage control circuit 3 through a diode D2 and a resistance RL2 for linearizing. Meanwhile, when negative pressure is applied, the output potential of the amplifier 2 lowers, the change of the potential is fed back to the inversion input side of an operational amplifier OP2 through a diode D1 and a resistance RL1 for linearizing and the output VB of the voltage control circuit 3 rises. Thus, bridge output voltage is linearized about either of positive or negative pressure input.
