Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain EC of good response speed, coloring density and stability by forming the transmission type electrochromic (EC) of the solid element through lamination of the specified thin films.

When voltage is so applied that the display electrode and counter electrode types of this element become negative and positive or positive or negative, the balance of charges is maintained by the reversible giving and receiving of electrons and the EC element of high response and good high coloring density owing to its transmission characteristics may be obtained.
