Abstract
PURPOSE:To reduce the electric resistance between both ends of a coil to increase write efficiency and reproduing output without load increment of a peripheral circuit by shaping the conductive coil of many turns, which is used for a thin film magnetic head, into a specific form. CONSTITUTION:In the thin film magnetic head formed by arranging conductive coil 21 of many turns between upper and lower magnetic layers 20 through insulating layer 22, conductive coil 21 is so formed that its width (namely, sectional area) may be increased successively according as going far from face 23 opposite to the head. As the result, the electric resistance between both ends of coil 21 is reduced considerably, and high-current driving becomes possible without increasing the load of a peripheral circuit.
