Abstract

PURPOSE: To produce a testing composite, which can detect the urobilinogen and bilirubin in a body fluid at the same time, by using a special diazonium salt.
CONSTITUTION: A diazonium salt, which is expressed by formula [wherein: X' and X'' stand for an anion (such as chloride or sulphate) for stabilizing a diazonium salt; and benzen ring may have a substituted radical (e.g., 4,4'-diazo stilben)] is in contact with a test liquid in the acid pH region (preferably lower than pH 3), and the color tone generated is compared with a standard one. For tests, a testing tool, which is prepared by carrying a testing composite in filter paper, is convenient. This tool is prapared by impregnating an absorptive carrier such as filter paper with a mixed solution of a stabilizer such as the aforementioned diazonium salt, oralic acid, metaphosphoric acid, or allys sulfonate having a sulfonate radical and by drying the impregnated carrier at a temperature lower than about 80°C.
