Abstract
PURPOSE: To miniaturize the treatment apparatus as well as treat polluted water in a shorter time in small floor space.
CONSTITUTION: When the polluted water 16 and the oxygen 12 are supplied from the lower part of the aeration tank 9, the treated water and sludge in the collecting tank 7 are made to mix with polluted water and oxygen and become aerated, and then they go into the upper part of the reacting separation tank through the inflow pipe 13, where the sludge takes contaminants present in the polluted water under a sufficient oxygen supply condition to grow and then goes into the lower part of the separation tank 6 with a widened upper part. And, it goes up with reduced speeds in the separation tank 6 and then passes through a sludge layer formed at the upper part of the separation tank, where treated water is filtered and discharged through the discharge trough 18. On the other hand, the sludge layer formed in the separation tank is moved to the collection layer 7 and then sent to the aeration tank 9 again from its lower part, and the grown sludge during the process is discharged from the discharge valve 15.
