Abstract

PURPOSE:To make the guide repeatedly reuseable even if its tip is worn out, by engaging the root end of the guide for guiding the material to be rolled with the support pin, and by arranging the driver for separating and approaching this support pin against the reducing roll. CONSTITUTION:A couple of upper and lower web guides 3A, 3B, are installed interposing the rolling line 2 between them, and a couple of the left and the right rotary shafts 4A, 4B, are vertically installed respectively on sideways of one end of the web guides 3A, 3B. The shafts 4A, 4B, are constituted so as to mutually approach and separate the web guides 3A, 3B, being supported by the pins 14 through the screw shafts 10A, 10B, the clutch 5, etc., by the motor 9; at the same time, the support pins 14A, 14B, are constituted so as to be separatable and approachable against the rolls 1A, 1B, along the rolling line 2 by the cylinder 29A. According to this method, even if the tip of guides 3A, 3B, and the surface of rolls 1, 2, are worn out, the contact between them are continued, so that they can be repeatedly reused without being disposed away.
