Abstract

PURPOSE: To perform automatically color-temperature compensation for external light by feeding the output of a relational amplifier, which compares outputs of photo detectors and then outputs a variation signal of a color temperature, back to the color signal output of a corresponding color television.
CONSTITUTION: Several photo detectors 10 are arranged near pickup lens 1 and on front surfaces of respective photo detectors 10, color filters 11 corresponding to R, G and B are arranged to detect quantities of respective components of ambient light 2a of a camera. Outputs of photo detectors 10 are inputted to relational amplifier 12, which outputs ratios of R/G and B/G by processing inputs. Those outputs are fed back to color signal outputs of corresponding pickup tubes 4 and 6, so that color reproducibility of variation in color temperature of ambient light will be compensated automatically.
