Abstract

PURPOSE:To effectively transmit heat generated from a semiconductor laser element by reflecting laser light irradiated from the semiconductor laser element on a mirror surface and introducing the light through a facusing lens incident to an optical fiber. CONSTITUTION:Laser light irradiated from a semiconductor laser element 3 is directed toward a lens 4 or reflected by a mirror surface 7 and directed toward the lens 4 thereafter. The focused light from the lend 4 is incident to the end surface of an optical fiber 5 mounted on a base 6 for obliquely mounting it. The heat generated from the element 3 is effectively transmitted in all directions to a heat sink.
