Abstract
PURPOSE: To prevent corrosion of steel piping pile train by winding non-corrosive cylindrical body on a region of each steel pipe of the train which region being subjected to dry and wet conditions alternately, and by interposing mortar bag between adjacent cylindrical bodies.
CONSTITUTION: I cases where a plurality of steel pipe piles 1 are connected to erect pile train in sea water, prior to erection of pipes, a portion of joint section 2 where is expected to be heavily corroded due to ebb and flow of tide, waves, and splashes is partially cut out, and a part of the pipe 1 including cut-out portion is covered by non-corrosive cylindrical body 2 made of, for example, FRP. Motor bag 4 is interposed between adjacent cylindrical bodies 2, and the bag 4 and annular space between pipe 1 and cylindrical body 2 are both filled with mortar. After the filled mortar has solidified, the pipes 1 are erected in the sea water so that cylindrical bodies 2 are in contact with adjacent bodies and located in the region where the pipes 1 are easily corroded, resulting that corrosion of pipes 1 is minimized and durability of pile train is remarkably improved.
