Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtain a denitrating catalyst having excellent peeling resistance and being resistant to a long period use by spraying titanium compound and a compound convertible to a catalytically active component to inorganic supports at a specific tmeperature.
CONSTITUTION: An inorganic support such as ceramics molten alumina and the like is introduced and, while the temperature of the support is maintained at 80W 150°C by blowing hot air, an aqueous suspension of a titanium compound such as anatase type titanium dioxide, metatitanic acid and the like and a compound convertible to a catalytically active component such as ammonium metavanadate, vanadium sulfate and the like is sprayed by a spray gun to deposit and thereafter dried, molded and sintered to obtain a denitrating catalyst.
