Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain the catalyst of high strength and high activity for removing nitrogen oxides by using the core bodies granulated from refractory inorganic oxides as nuclei with the specific amounts of titanium oxide and one or more kinds of oxides of V, Cr, etc. CONSTITUTION:Spherical core bodies are granulated by refractory inorganic oxides of, e.g., titanium oxide and alumina, having been heat-treated at temperatures of 600 deg.C or more, thence the foregoing core bodies as nuclei are granulated with the powder containing 25-99wt% titanium oxide and 1-75wt% oxides composed of at least one or more kinds of, e.g., V, Cr, Mn, whereby the catalyst having high strength and high activity for removing nitrogen oxides is obtained.
