Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide the title glass compsn. consisting of bismuth oxide, zinc oxide, silicon oxide, lead oxide, boron oxide and sodium oxide, and exhibiting stable resistance even to overload.
CONSTITUTION: The glass compsn. consists of, by wt., bismuth oxide (Bi2O3) 0.8W30%, zinc oxide (ZnO) 7W10%, silicon oxide (SiO2) 3.5W5%, lead oxide (PbO) 45.9W65%, boron oxide (B2O3) 10.6W15% and sodium oxide (Na2O) 3W4.2%. When the bismuth oxide content is reduced to less than 0.8wt%, the short-time overload characteristics of the compsn. are enhanced slightly, and more than 30wt% of bismuth oxide deteriorates the voltage coefficient of the compsn.
