PURPOSE:To provide a profiling machine tool which can perform the copy boring of a hole of a stationary workpiece to a desired form in the axial direction in accordance with a template and be fitted with a multi-edge cutter or a grindstone and has an improved finishing accuracy. CONSTITUTION:A spindle stock 2, which supports a spindle 3, is provided on a bed 1 so that the spindle stock can slide in the axial direction of the spindle 3. A rotation means 4 is eccentrically attached to the front end of the spindle 3 to rotate a tool holder 5 around its axis by a controlled quantity. The rotation means 4 comprises fixed blades 44 and a rotor 45 housed in a rotor chamber 43, and a rotary sleeve 46 on which the rotor 45 is secured. The eccentricity of the a tool 6 as to the spindle 3 is detected by a bar 8 and a lever 11. A servo-mechanism is provided. The servo- mechanism includes a servo-valve 13, which controls the quantity of the rotation of the rotation means 4 to cause the detected eccentricity to follow up the form of the generating line of a template 14.
