The head stock 3 is made controllable in the direction of X-axis, Y-axis and Z-axis, though in the same manner as a conventional horizontal boring machine, in order to make a rotating angle controllable within a horizontal plane of the milling cutter 2 installed to the point end of this heat stock 3, a swivel spindle, that is, a spindle B2 is additionally provided. And a rotary shaft of the milling cutter 2 is installed in a manner with a slope provided for the horizontal plane by an angle equal to the helical angle of a helical gear to be worked.
