Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide a temperature controlling apparatus for boiler, which controls temperature difference and gas flow rate of the boiler substantially in linear proportion to each other, by controlling current passing through a power transistor on the basis of voltage proportional to the square of the temperature difference.
CONSTITUTION: When a certain degree of temperature difference is caused between a reference temperature and a detected temperature, a certain level of voltage proportional linearly to this temperature difference is applied across the positive and the negative electrodes of operational amplifier 9 and a voltage proportional to the square of the temperature difference is afforded from the operational amplifier 9. On the other hand, power transistor (10) driving current propotional to the output voltage of amplifier 9 is passed in coil 16, and pressure of gas supplied to the burner is controlled in proportion to the square of the temperature difference. Therefore, the temperature difference and the gas flow rate can be controlled substantially in linear proportion to each other.
