Abstract
PURPOSE: To improve the reproducility of images and obtain visible images of good gradation characteristic by changing the field intensity acting in the gap between a toner carrier and electrostatic image holder in the specified mode.
CONSTITUTION: Zinc oxide photosensitive paper 10 is formed of electrostatic images and the photosensitive paper 10 and toner carrier 12 are sent to the developing part by motors 21, 22. The gap between the photosensitive paper 10 and carrier 12 is maintained at 500μ, and alternating voltages are applied to the toner carrier 12 by a power source 9. This applied voltage comprises superposing DC -2000V on the AC 1200V pp of frequencies 10W1000Hz and superposing the high frequency sine waves of frequency 5kHz and amplitude 600V. After 0.2 second upon starting of development, only the AC voltage is attenuated to 0 in time constant about 0.5 second. As are sult, the photograhic fog becomes obsolete and the good images may be obtained at f≤1000Hz.
