Abstract

PURPOSE: To detect ac magnetic fields as well as secondary currents and the phase differences between the secondary currents and the magnetic fields at the same time, and to detect the torque directly and electrically by using those sensed values, by attaching a Hall generator to a stator core.
CONSTITUTION: A Hall element 4 is attached to a stator core. The output of a Hall generator comprising a Hall element 4 and a power supply unit 19 is rectified by a rectifier 5 and input to a multiplier 12 through a current-voltage converter I/V, as a rotating magnetic flux ϕR. The secondary current is also input to the multiplier 12 by the same way. The outputs of a voltage unit 8 and a current unit 9 are input to a phase-angle converter 10, wherein the phase difference between the magnetic flux ϕR and the secondary current I2 is taken out and sent to a function generator 11. The function generator 11 generates cosθ and send it to the multiplier 12. The torgue τ is output as a result of multiplication in the multiplier 12.
