Abstract

PURPOSE:To let function be sufficiently effected by less light emitting elements by so constituting the coupler that the light from the light emitting element is received in the specific photo detector by disposing a plurality of photo detectors around the single light emitting element and operating a rotary selecting mechanism. CONSTITUTION:A light emitting element 2 is contained in the small hole 6 at the center of the cylindrical element holder 5 fixed to a cylindrical type case 4 and photo detectors 1 are contained in the small holes 7 provided on the circumference thereof. When an operating shaft 13 is rotated by the knob 20 of the outside end of the operating shaft to rotate a rotary disc 14 from a certain click point to another click point, then the position of the optical axis of the mirror part 15 to the light emitting element 2 changes and therefore the light of the light emitting element 2 is reflected to another photo detector corresponding to that click point, whereby the required signal may be transmitted to the target circuit connected to that photo detector 1.
