Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain an excellent blood smear definitely by measuring sample density before rotating and then by setting the rotation time on the basis of this measured value. CONSTITUTION:On slide holder 13, transparent slide 20 is mounted and on the center part of this slide 20, blood sample 21 for a smear is dropped. Light from light emitting diode 14 is made to strike blood sample 21 and transmitting light is detected by photo detecting element 15. The output of photo detecting elemtn 15 is suplied to control circuit 2 via the I-V converter circuit. By receiving the output of the I-V converter circuit, control circuit 2 controls clutch and brake unit 17 corresponding to the output of photo detecting element 15, thereby controlling the rotational frequency of driving shaft 12.
