Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a heat-sensitive recording material with a high heating stability and a high preservation stability by forming on a support a heat-sensitive colouration layer made by dispersing a transparent or light-colour leuco dye and an acidic material in a binder composed of an organic high-molecular compound which is curable by irradiation and a curing agent. CONSTITUTION:A heat-sensitive colouration layer is formed on a support by making discontinuous dispersion of a transparent or light-colour leuco dye such as crystal violet lactone and 3, 7-bisdiethylaminofluorane, and a phenolic acid material such as alpha-naphtol and bisphenol A or an organic acid such as salicyclic and stearic acids in a binder composed of an organic high-molecular compound which is curable by the irradiation such as polyvinyl alcohol and polyacrylamide and curing agent (hardening accelerator) capable of curing the organic high-molecular compound by the irradiation such as potassium chromate. The layer is coloured by heating and cured by irradiation for stabilizing image.
